Our History

Arie Nol and his family emigrated from the Netherlands to California in the 1950's where Arie worked for Porsche racing. After moving to Grand Rapids to be closer to his family, he spent some time working in a local dealership. In 1976, he realized his dream of opening his own car repair shop.

He began with a two-bay shop on the corner of 52nd and Eastern Avenue in Kentwood, where Arie used his knowledge of vehicles to grow his business. Arie passed away in 1992 and Jeff, his son, purchased the business from his family in 2000. Debbie joined him in the business as the business manager, and they continued to expand the business to meet the needs of their customers.

Cameron, Jeff and Debbie’s son, worked at the business throughout high school and joined full-time after college. With his passion for small business and auto repair, he became the third-generation owner of Arie Nol Auto Center. Cameron continues the fair pricing, quality repairs and integrity that have been cornerstones of our business since 1976.

We’re thankful for our past and excited for the future of Arie Nol Auto Center!
